AFP Celebrates National Philanthropy Day

On November 21, five hundred fundraising professionals came together at the Plaza Hotel to celebrate the thirteenth annual National Philanthropy Day, sponsored by the New York Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Each year, the AFP sets aside a day to honor the contribution of the philanthropy community to the world, with more than 50,000 people in over 125 communities around the world participating in celebrations in honor of National Philanthropy Day.

Two years ago, long time friends Will Hauser and Lauren Walters launched Two Degrees Foods. A socially-conscious business that uses a one to one model to provide starving children with medically-formulated nutrition packs for every snack bar sold. Today Two Degrees Foods can be found in every Whole Foods Market as well as college campuses and corporate cafeterias.
