On November 21, five hundred fundraising professionals came together at the Plaza Hotel to celebrate the thirteenth annual National Philanthropy Day, sponsored by the New York Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Each year, the AFP sets aside a day to honor the contribution of the philanthropy community to the world, with more than 50,000 people in over 125 communities around the world participating in celebrations in honor of National Philanthropy Day.

This past Wednesday, July 27th, the United Nations Programme on Youth in cooperation with other partners hosted a day long Side Event to the High Level Meeting on Youth entitled “Giving it Back, Passing it On: Corporate Engagement and Youth Philanthropy as Pathways to Development”. Kate Amore, editor of FLiP moderated the panel on “Youth and the Private Sector”.
